This weekend will go down in history: double win in the EnduroGP and in E2 with Nathan Watson, four podiums for Rony Kytonen with two victories (Junior Overall and J1) and two-second places, third position for Thomas Oldrati in the E1.
This weekend, the Enduro World Championship was back to Portugal for the fourth round of the season. A Grand Prix that Honda Racing RedMoto World Enduro Team will never forget. The race in Souselas-Coimbra kicked off on Friday evening with the Super Test. In each of the following two days, riders faced a 60-kilometer race with three special tests: Enduro Test of 6 km on hard ground, stones, and sand with passages through the woods, Extreme test of 1.2 km, and then TC 1 followed by the Cross Test of 5.5km on the meadow. Nathan Watson made it double, ruling the EnduroGP. A great success for the team led by Matteo Boffelli, who achieved a historic double victory with the CRF 450RX Enduro in a GP of Portugal. Second in the Super Test, the British rider set the pace, winning both his class, the E2, and the EnduroGP ahead of Verona. That’s Watson’s fifth success in the top class after that of 2017 in Greece (both day1 and day2), Portugal, and England. A great weekend also for Roni Kytonen, a star among the Junior. On Saturday he finished second in J1 and Junior Overall, while on Sunday he got two amazing victories (class and Overall). Excellent performance for Thomas Oldrati too: after the fourth position on Saturday by less than a second from the top three, on Sunday he finished third. He also set two top ten in the EnduroGP. The next race for Honda Racing RedMoto World Enduro Team is the fifth round of the Italian Championship on July 17th in Ceva, near Cuneo.

Un weekend che rimarrà nella storia: due vittorie nella EnduroGP e due nella E2 con Nathan Watson, quattro podi per Rony Kytonen con due vittorie (Junior Assoluta e J1) e due secondi posti, a cui si aggiunge il successo di Thomas Oldrati nella E1.
Il Campionato del Mondo Enduro è tornato questo fine settimana in Portogallo per il quarto round della stagione: un Gran Premio che Honda Racing RedMoto World Enduro Team ricorderà per sempre.
La gara, andata in scena a Souselas-Coimbra, cittadina di circa 150mila abitanti, è iniziata venerdì sera con il Super Test, ed è proseguita in due giornate dalle infinite emozioni su un percorso di tre giri comprendente un Enduro Test di 6 km su fondo duro, pietre e sabbia con passaggi in bosco, Exteme test di 1.2 km su un promontorio con ripido salitone e discesa, poi CO1 seguito dal Cross Test di 5.5 km su un ampio prato incolto.
In un fine settimana dalle mille emozioni Nathan Watson ha stravinto entrambe le giornate di gara dominando la EnduroGP senza rivali. Un grandissimo successo per la squadra diretta da Matteo Boffelli, che ha conquistato una storica doppia vittoria con la CRF 450RX Enduro in un GP del Portogallo.
Autore del secondo miglior tempo nel Super Test, il pilota britannico ha dettato il ritmo, stravincendo in entrambe le giornate di gara la sua classe, la E2, e la EnduroGP davanti a Verona. Si tratta del quinto successo di Watson nella classe top del Mondiale, dopo quelle del 2017 in Grecia (doppietta), Portogallo e Inghilterra.
Bellissimo weekend anche per Roni Kytonen, grande protagonista tra gli Junior. Sabato ha fatto sua la seconda posizione della J1 e della Junior Assoluta, mentre domenica si è superato andando a battere ogni tempo e portando a casa due incredibili vittorie (classe e Assoluta).
Ottima prestazione anche per Thomas Oldrati: dopo aver sfiorato il podio sabato per meno di un secondo, domenica ha fatto suo il terzo gradino. Si aggiungono le due top ten nella EnduroGP a testimonianza dell’alto ritmo mantenuto del pilota delle Fiamme Oro. Il prossimo impegno per Honda Racing RedMoto World Enduro Team è il 17 luglio a Ceva (CN) con il quinto round degli Assoluti d’Italia.
