The FIM EnduroGP World Championship moved from Portugal to Italy, in the city of Edolo, for the Italian Grand Prix, the second round of this 2021 season.
A thrilling weekend for all the off-road enthusiasts, who had the chance to see the best Enduro riders alongside three special test: one enduro, one cross and one extreme to be repeated 4 times per day.
Honda RedMoto World Enduro Team took part in the race just with Roni Kytonen. Unfortunately, Thomas Oldrati got injured in the Portuguese GP, fracturing 3 ribs with the laceration of the liver, while Theo Espinasse was operated to his left collarbone.
The Finnish rider, Roni Kytonen, conquered two amazing second steps of the podium in the EJ1 class with the Honda-RedMoto CRF 250RX Enduro after two days of challenge with Macoritto, finishing close to the Overall Junior top three both days. On Saturday, after losing a lot of time in the first enduro test, Kytonen set a great pace, winning 8 special test and recovering time and positions. Very well on Sunday too, with 4 specials wins and the other always in the top five. After two GPs Kytonen is second in the championship with 71 points.
Now a few days off before the double World Championship GPs: 18th July in Estonia and 25th July in Sweden.

“I got the podium both days, but I’m not completely satisfied because my goal is the Junior Overall. On Saturday I made a few mistakes and on Sunday I made a big one in the extreme test. I struggled in the enduro test, which penalized my final result. We’ll try again in Estonia and Sweden”

Niente pausa per il Campionato Mondiale FIM EnduroGP che dal Portogallo si è spostato in Italia, a Edolo (BS), per il Gran Premio d’Italia, secondo round di questa stagione 2021
Un weekend di grande festa per tutti gli appassionati di fuoristrada, che hanno raggiunto in gran numero le tre speciali tracciate dal Moto Club Sebino (una enduro, una cross e una estrema da ripetere 4 volte a giornata) per fare il tifo e ammirare i big dell’enduro mondiale.
Un appuntamento a cui Honda RedMoto World Enduro Team si è presentata solo con Roni Kytonen, che è stato grande protagonista con due giornate di gara tutta all’attacco. Il finlandese ha conquistato due bellissimi secondi gradini del podio della classe EJ1 con la Honda-RedMoto CRF 250RX Enduro dopo due giorni di sfida con Macoritto, sfiorando la top three dell’Assoluta della Junior sia il sabato che la domenica. Sabato, dopo aver perso parecchio tempo nel primo enduro test, Kytonen ha impostato un ritmo da vero martello, facendo sue ben 8 vittorie di speciali, recuperando tempo e posizioni. Molto bene anche domenica, con 4 vittorie di speciali e le restanti sempre nella top five. Dopo due GP Kytonen si trova secondo in campionato con 71 punti.
Purtroppo assenti Thomas Oldrati, infortunato nel Gp del Portogallo (frattura di 3 costole e lacerazione del fegato) e Theo Espinasse che è stato operato dopo la frattura alla clavicola sinistra, già entrambi impegnati per un pronto rientro in sella.
Ora qualche giorno di pausa prima del doppio appuntamento Mondiale: il 18 luglio in Estonia e il 25 luglio in Svezia.

“Podio in entrambe le giornate, ma non sono del tutto soddisfatto perché il mio obiettivo è l’Assoluta Junior. Sabato ho commesso alcuni grossi errori, mentre domenica ne ho fatto uno grosso nell’estrema. In generale ho fatto fatica nell’enduro test, che purtroppo ha penalizzato sul mio risultato finale. Ci riproviamo in Estonia e Svezia”
