Double flyaway for the FIM EnduroGP World Championship: this weekend it’s time for the Estonian GP on Saaremaa island, the third round of this season, while next Saturday there will be the GP of Sweden.
After the home race at the end of June, Honda RedMoto World Enduro Team was back with a full line-up, joined by 19-year-old New Zealander James Scott too.
A hot race with high temperatures, tough both for riders and bikes, with 3 special tests (extreme, enduro, cross) to be repeated 4 times a day for a total of 12 tests on Saturday and as many on Sunday.
At his return to racing after the bad injury in the GP of Portugal, in the E2 class the new dad Thomas Oldrati ran an unpretentious race due to the physical and psychic aftereffects of his injuries. He finished 7th and 8th, missing the top five only for some small mistakes.
First race in the World Championship for Theo Espinasse, finally back to the track after the injury to his left collarbone suffered in a training session before the Portuguese and Italian GPs. He finished 7th and 8th in a hard fought E1 with the Honda-RedMoto CRF 250RX Enduro.
Debut in the EnduroGP for James Scott: he finished 11th on Saturday and 9th on Sunday, recording good times in E1 class.
Unlucky weekend for Rony Kytonen: after the double podium in Italy, the Finnish rider fractured the left peroneal malleolus while he was ruling the Junior Overall and the EJ1. On Saturday he managed to finish the race with the 10thposition, while on Sunday he could start.

“Tough weekend. Too bad for Kytonen’s injury: on Saturday he gave his best in order to finish the race, while on Sunday it was impossible to start. Good performance for Thomas and Theo after their injuries: they managed to keep a good pace and record some good times. James did his best, and we see some good skills. Now we are thinking about taking a step forward in the Swedish GP and then in the next races of the season”.

Buon rientro alle gare per Thomas Oldrati e Theo Espinasse. Un infortunio ferma la corsa di Kytonen nella Junior.
Doppia trasferta per il Campionato Mondiale FIM EnduroGP che questo fine settimana ha fatto tappa in Estonia, sull’isola di Saaremaa, per il terzo appuntamento iridato di questa stagione, a cui seguirà il prossimo sabato il quarto con il GP di Svezia.
Dopo la gara di casa, disputata a fine giugno a Edolo, Honda RedMoto World Enduro Team è tornato in pista con la formazione completa, a cui si è aggiunto il 19enne neo-zelandese James Scott.
Una gara calda, afosa, con temperature che hanno messo a dura prova piloti e moto, articolata su 3 prove (estrema, enduro, cross) da ripetere 4 volte a giornata per un totale di 12 prove sabato e altrettante domenica.
Al suo rientro alle gare dopo il brutto infortunio nel GP del Portogallo, il neo papà Thomas Oldrati nella classe E2 ha corso una gara senza troppe pretese, messo a dura prova sia fisicamente che mentalmente dagli infortuni di questa stagione, concludendo con una 7° e 8°, mancando la top five solo per piccoli errori.
Prima prova Mondiale per Theo Espinasse, finalmente in gara dopo l’infortunio alla clavicola sinistra accusata in un allenamento prima dei GP del Portogallo e di Italia. In sella alla Honda-RedMoto CRF 250RX Enduro ha chiuso con una 7° e una 8° posizione in una combattutissima E1.
Debutto nella EnduroGP per James Scott: in gara nella E1, sabato ha concluso 11°, mentre domenica 9°, registrando ottimi tempi in alcune speciali.
Weekend sfortunato per Rony Kytonen: dopo il doppio podio a Edolo, il finlandese si è fratturato il malleolo peroneale del piede sinistro proprio mentre stava dominando la Junior Assoluta e la EJ1. Sabato è riuscito con grande determinazi
