Another good weekend for Honda Racing RedMoto World Enduro Team with Thomas Oldrati twice on the first step of the 450 4T class podium in the third round of the Enduro Italian Championship, raced on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th April in Piediluco, in Umbria.
The race, fourth and fifth day of the nine scheduled, was on a route of about 40 km to be repeated four times a day, with three different special test (one extreme, one enduro and one cross), for a total of 12 special test per day.
Outstanding double win for Thomas Oldrati, ruler of the 450 4T class with two victories in both days of competition. On Saturday he also got the 2nd position of the Overall, while on Sunday he finished in the top ten with the 9th place due to several mistakes.
Positive weekend for Theo Espinasse with two excellent top ten. With a fast pace the French finished 5th on Saturday, close to the podium in the ranking reserved to the foreign riders, also getting the 8th place overall. On Sunday he unfortunately had to slow down due to a strong contusion to his left foot after hitting a fence post in the cross test finishing 7th.
The Finnish Roni Kytonen finished 8th in both days of the race, showing a better feeling with the hard and dusty ground.
Next round of the Enduro Italian Championship will be on May 16th in Fabriano (AN).

Doppia vittoria per Honda Racing RedMoto World Enduro Team con Thomas Oldrati
Ancora un buon weekend per Honda Racing RedMoto World Enduro Team con Thomas Oldrati due volte sul gradino più alto del podio della classe 450 4T nel terzo round degli Assoluti d’Italia, disputato sabato 24 e domenica 25 aprile a Piediluco, in Umbria.
La gara, valida come quarta e quinta giornata di tricolore delle nove previste dal calendario, si è disputata su un percorso di circa 40 km da ripetersi quattro volte al dì, con tre differenti prove speciali (una estrema, una enduro e una cross), per un totale di 12 speciali a giornata.
Bellissima doppietta per Thomas Oldrati, dominatore della 450 4T con due nette vittorie in entrambe le giornate di gara. Sabato il pilota delle Fiamme Oro è stato a dir poco superlativo andando a centrare anche la 2° posizione nella Classifica Assoluta, mentre domenica ha chiuso nella top ten con la 9° posizione finale causa diversi errori.
Weekend positivo per Theo Espinasse con due ottime top ten. Con un passo deciso e veloce, il francese sabato ha chiuso 5° a un soffio dal podio della classifica riservata ai piloti stranieri, aggiudicandosi anche l’8° posizione assoluta. La domenica ha purtroppo dovuto rallentare per una forte contusione al piede sinistro dopo aver preso un paletto della speciale cross, concludendo 7° di classe.
Il finlandese Roni Kytonen ha invece chiuso 8° in entrambe le giornate di gara, dimostrando di aver raggiunto un maggior feeling con il terreno duro e polveroso.
Il prossimo appuntamento con i Campionati Assoluti d’Italia Enduro è il 16 maggio a Fabriano (AN) con il quarto round stagionale, valido come sesta giornata di gara.

Domenica ho commesso un errore nell’estrema e uno nell’enduro: mi sono ritrovato indietro e ho dovuto recuperare, altrimenti avrei potuto centrare un altro importante risultato assoluto. Questi due primi posti sono importanti perché sulla classifica di campionato pesa lo zero per l’assenza alla prima gara.”
