From Arma di Taggia to Cavaglià. Last Sunday, Honda Racing RedMoto World Enduro Team was back in action for the second round of the Enduro Italian Championship.
Once more, the team led by Matteo Boffelli ruled a very selective and highly-technical level race for one day. Three tests to be repeated for four laps, with a route of 50 km: an Enduro Test of 6.5 km in a thick forest, an Extreme Test of 1.5 km particularly difficult on stony ground, and 4 km of extremely dusty Cross Test.
After the excellent debut in Liguria, Nathan Watson replied, running another excellent race. Fast since the first lap, the English rider was the third-best both in the classification reserved for foreigners and the Overall. In front of him only the uncatchable Australians. Great podium in the 250 4T class and top ten in the overall for Thomas Oldrati: fourth in Liguria, this time he conquered the third position at the end of a day in which he was always in the top five. Good performance also for Rony Kytonen: he finished tenth in the hard-fought foreign ranking, more in confidence with his Honda-REDMOTO CRF 250RX Enduro.
Great test also for the supported riders. Rudy Moroni, riding the brand-new Honda-RedMoto CRF 300 4t, finished again on the third step of the podium, while the former motocross rider Francesca Nocera won the women’s category.
Next competition is the third round of the Enduro Italian Championship, scheduled in Colliano (SA) on 23rd-24th April.

Tre bellissimi podi per Honda Racing RedMoto World Enduro Team nel secondo round degli Assoluti d’Italia
Da Arma di Taggia a Cavaglià. Questa domenica Honda Racing RedMoto World Enduro Team è tornato in azione per il secondo appuntamento stagionale degli Assoluti d’Italia Enduro.
Un’altra prova in cui la squadra diretta da Matteo Boffelli è stata grande protagonista, con una gara molto selettiva e dall’alto livello tecnico disputata su una sola giornata. Tre le prove da ripetere per quattro giri, per un totale di 50 km: un Enduro Test di 6,5 km in una fitta boscaglia, un Extreme Test di 1,5 km particolarmente difficile su una pietraia e 4 km di Cross Test estremamente polveroso.
Dopo l’ottimo esordio in Liguria, Nathan Watson si è replicato, correndo un’altra gara dagli ottimi risultati. Veloce sin dalle prime prove, il pilota inglese è risultato il terzo migliore sia nella classifica riservata agli stranieri, che nell’Assoluta. Davanti a lui solo gli imprendibili australiani. Bellissimo podio e top ten Assoluta sfiorata per Thomas Oldrati: nella classe 250 4T: dopo aver mancato la top three nella prima prova, questa volta il pilota delle Fiamme Oro ho fatto sua la terza posizione al termine di una giornata in cui è sempre stato tra i primi cinque. Buona performance anche per Rony Kytonen che, con sempre più confidenza, chiude decimo nella combattutissima classifica stranieri.
Grande prova anche per due assistiti speciali. Rudy Moroni, in sella alla nuovissima Honda-RedMoto CRF 300 4t, ha nuovamente concluso sul terzo gradino del podio; mentre l’ex crossista Francesca Nocera ha vinto la
categoria riservata alle donne, un risultato di ottimo auspicio per la sua partecipazione al Mondiale Enduro categoria Women. Prossimo impegno è la terza tappa degli Assoluti d’Italia, in programma a Colliano (SA) il 23-24 aprileon the women’s category.

“Gara abbastanza positiva, soprattutto nella seconda metà. Anche se queste non erano le speciali che più si adattano al mio stile di guida ho registrato dei buoni tempi. Quest’anno ci sono tanti avversari forti stranieri. Continuiamo a lavorare in vista della prossima gara degli Assoluti di due giorni e della prima prova del Mondiale”.
