The second round of the FIM EnduroGP World Championship delivered drama, intensity, and thrilling action. Held in Oliana, Spain, about 150 km from Barcelona, the Spanish GP was a true test of resilience and adaptability, especially as severe weather conditions disrupted Sunday’s program. Heavy rain fell throughout Saturday night and into Sunday morning, forcing organizers to revise the race layout and shorten the event.

Despite the challenges, Honda Racing RedMoto Enduro Team once again showcased determination and top-level performances. The team’s riders adapted brilliantly to the demanding and technical terrain, achieving results that reflect both talent and the continuous progress being made this season.

Brilliant performance from Samuele Bernardini, who delivered a phenomenal race on Sunday. After narrowly missing the podium on Saturday with a strong fourth-place finish, Bernardini rose to the occasion under treacherous conditions and stormed to an outstanding second place in the E1 class and a sensational third place overall in the EnduroGP, his first Overall podium of the season. He capped off the day with an electrifying win in the final Extreme Test, pushing hard through the mud to show once again his exceptional skill and adaptability.

In the E2 class, Manolo Morettini delivered a consistent and promising performance, finishing close to the top five. On Saturday, he secured 7th in class and 22nd overall, and on Sunday he finished 8th in E2 and again 22nd overall, despite the tough weather. It was a steady progression for the young Italian rider, who continues to show consistency.

Back to the EnduroGP series after two years, Hugo Blanjoue stepped in to replace the injured Steve Holcombe. Riding the Honda CRF 300 RX Enduro, a step up in displacement from his usual 250cc, Blanjoue faced both unfamiliar equipment and treacherous track conditions. Nonetheless, he delivered a composed and professional performance, completing the event solidly and adding value to the team’s overall effort.

“Sunday was a pretty intense day. I was the first rider to start, and I think it was the right choice. We brought home a great third place overall—my first podium in EnduroGP this year—and another second place in class. It’s a strong result for morale and definitely a big step forward.”

“Saturday was solid, and Sunday went well despite the extreme conditions. I managed to confirm my position and take a small step forward in the overall. We’re on the right path, staying positive and confident that we can keep improving race after race.”

Hugo Blanjoue #56
“Coming back to EnduroGP after two years brings a mix of positives and challenges. I need to rebuild my feelings with the special tests and regain confidence in my riding style. At the same time, I’m getting used to the new bike, so it’s all part of a step-by-step process to grow and gain experience.”
