EnduroGP Romania. After the first two consecutive rounds in Portugal, almost one month later the FIM EnduroGP World Championship is back with the third round of the season. A special Grand Prix in Bacau, in eastern Romania, which finally hosted again the Enduro World Championship after almost 10 years.
Demanding GP for Steve Holcombe. The British rider was a great performer on both days of competition, but struggled in the battle with Verona and Garcia. Twice 2nd in E1, he also took the 3rd step of the podium of the Overall on Saturday.
One more podium for Samuele Bernardini. Among the major players of the E2 in the first two rounds in Portugal, in Romania he came close to the podium on Saturday, finishing 4th after a race in recovery because of a bad crash in the first Cross Test. P3 on Sunday with also the top ten of the Overall. On Saturday Manolo Morettini was leading EJ1, but a bad crash in the second Cross Test compromised his day. Better on Sunday, when he definitely redeemed himself with an excellent P3.
Tough weekend for Thomas Oldrati, back to the World Championship after the injury that forced him to skip the first two GPs of the season. On Saturday he finished 10th, while on Sunday he unfortunately hit strong his right knee, forcing him to the withdraw.

“Day1 started a little bit slow. I kept the pace, but lost too much time behind Verona e Garcia, anyway I was happy of my riding. Sunday I made some mistakes and I could not join the EnduroGP podium. I’m not happy of my performance, but it’s a long season and we’ll recover points”.

“I hadn’t raced in the World Championship for a long time and this was my official comeback. On Saturday I raced a few good special tests, but I struggled. On Sunday, however, I hit my knee again in the second Extreme and preferred to stop. I look forward to the home GP in Italy”.
Samuele Bernardini #23
“On Saturday I had a difficult first lap crashing in the Cross Test and losing over 20 seconds. I tried to recover, but I didn’t manage to get on the podium. Sunday was better: it was a fight to the end with Etchells, but I managed to take the podium”.
Manolo Morettini #38
“Weekend a bit unlucky. On Saturday I was leading the Junior, but had a bad crash. Even on Sunday I made some mistakes, but I managed to keep the pace and finish 3rd”.
