Honda Racing RedMoto World Enduro Team rules the fifth round of the Italian Championship

Fifth and next to last round of the Enduro Italian Championship in Sant Angelo in Vado, close to Pesaro Urbino, in central Italy. Riders faced a route of 336 km with 7 laps of 48 km each (4 laps on Saturday and 3 on Sunday) with 3 special tests: Enduro Test of about 5.5 km, Cross Test of 5 km, and Extreme Test of 1 km.

Rony Kytonen did not take part in the race as he recently underwent surgery to his right hand – injured in the third round of the Italian Championship: the Finnish rider will be back in September for the last two World GPs.

Umpteenth amazing performance for Thomas Oldrati (Honda-RedMoto CRF 250RX Enduro), who once again won the 250 4T in both days of competition setting the best time in almost all the special tests.
Manolo Morettini (Honda-RedMoto CRF 250RX Enduro) scored victory number six and seven on a terrain he is not used to. This double win makes him even more leader of the Junior class.
Excellent weekend also for Nathan Watson (Honda-RedMoto CRF 450RX Enduro), despite the injury suffered in the last round of the World Championship in Slovakia. In the classification reserved for foreign riders the English rider finished close to the podium on Saturday, fifth overall, while on Sunday he conquered the third step of the podium finishing fourth overall.

Thomas Oldrati | 250 4T class > 1°

“A positive race weekend with two wins. On Sunday I pushed a little more and set better times. I’m very happy, thanks to the whole team”.

Nathan Watson | Foreigner class > 3°

Manolo Morettini | Junior class > 1°

“Good race. I was hoping to do better in the Overall, but I’m happy with the result and the work done. Now we go home for a short break and then we’ll focus for the season finale”.

In the second line-up, Francesca Nocera took two victories in the women’s class, also finishing fifth Overall on Saturday and seventh on Sunday. Double podium also for Samuele Bernardini (Honda-RedMoto CRF 300RX Enduro), twice second in the 450 class.

Samuele Bernardini | 450 class > 2°

Francesca Nocera | Women class > 1°
